Expanded Searching and Sharing in Sugar Mobile 2.7
Is your team using Sugar Mobile? With each release of Sugar Mobile, new functionality is added and the app becomes more inline with the capabilities of Desktop. Here are the biggest changes in Sugar Mobile 2.7 for both Android and iOS:
Share Records Via Social Media or Email
Users can now share individual records via email or social media posts. Access this function by clicking the vertical ellipsis in the top right corner of a record view. Keep in mind that when you share a record, you are sharing a link to the record, and anyone who clicks on it must still log in. Users will only be allowed to view the record as allowed by your system’s settings-- including team membership, user access type, and assigned roles.
Sorting in List View
This new capability allows users to sort their search results in a List View. You can sort by a specified field in ascending or descending order. In the example below, the user is sorting on Name from A to Z in the Account List View. Access this feature by going to a List View, clicking on the “sort” button in the top right corner, and selecting the field you want to sort by. To toggle between ascending and descending sorting, click the arrow in the top right corner.
Filters in List View
Mobile 2.7 enables users to search using filters in List View. By default, the search filter is set to show all records. Tap the Filter button in the top left corner of the app to select the filter you want to see results on. When you navigate away from the page, your search will be preserved, and will appear again when you return to the List View. You can use both Sugar’s out-of-the-box filters as well as custom filters you have created on your desktop.
Sugar Mobile 2.7 has expanded search capabilities and increased the app’s user-friendliness. If you aren’t already using the mobile app, now is a great time to try it out.
