Google Launches New Docs and Sheets Mobile Apps For iOS

by Koosha Araghi on April 30, 2014

Google today launched standalone versions of Google Docs and Google Sheets for iOS. The apps allow mobile/tablet users to take advantage of the productivity suite on the go. Previously, documents and spreadsheets were only accessible through the main Google drive app or via the web.

The new standalone apps allow Google Apps users to quickly view, edit, or create files on the go. One of Google Drives best features, real time collaboration, is built in, allowing you to work with your colleagues on files away from the office. Additionally, the apps have offline support built in, so you can take your work with you even when you’re away from an internet connection. Google will also be releasing a standalone version of its presentation software (Google Slides) in the near future.
