Questions & Answers

  1. Q: Is there any solution to mail merge using G Suite, instead of Microsoft Word?
    A: Yes, you can create a template inside of G Suite and then use the record sets that you have in Sugar access that particular email template and push it out to whatever records you’d like.

  2. Q: Are there any version restrictions to get the complete integration with G Suite?
    A: In this webinar today we have demoed Sugar 7.7 (which is the latest). However, the G Suite integration is compatible with versions 6.x and higher. From G Suite, there are no restrictions. However, there are some APIs that you have access to with the Unlimited, but as far as the integration goes, there are no restrictions.

  3. Q: Can I access Sugar from my Mobile Device?
    A: Yes. Sugar, from an app perspective, fully supports iOS and Android, as well as tablets on both sides. Everything that we saw today is fully extensible to Mobile. To learn more about Sugar on Mobile visit our SugarCRM Mobile product page

  4. Q: Can we customize Sugar ourselves?
    A: As part of a Sugar deployment, UpCurve Cloud will work with to make you installation as independent as you’d like. The ability to make UI changes, create fields and create dashboards (such as the ones shown in the webinar) does not require a developer or code-based changes. All of the customizations are done through the Studio (Sugar’s Admin Tool) which is part of the product.

  5. Q: How long does Sugar take to deploy?
    A: Each deployment is unique from a customer’s perspective. Depending on the complexity of a use case, it can vary. From a basic deployment  including a fully customized solution solving your need set it takes between 3-6 days.

    It is worth mentioning that inside a 20-minute view of Sugar and the Gmail integration what we are looking to do is pique interest. If you have more questions about Sugar or the Gmail integrations, please contact us, and we'd be happy to do a deep dive into your use case.

  6. Q: What is the cost of G Suite integration?
