New Google Drive Activity Stream

by Koosha Araghi on January 14, 2014

The latest upgrade to Google Drive makes it easy to track changes and updates to your documents online. Rolling out this week, the update provides an activity stream in the drive homepage that lists everything from small edits, comments or notes, newly created documents, name changes, and more.

Google drive has always prided itself in its collaborative workspace that allows teams to quickly make changes and work together on docs in real time. Documents have always maintained a revision history that allows you to go through changes made by other users and revert to previous save points if necessary.

With the new activity stream, you can now seamlessly assess changes made for any of your docs instead of being required to open each one and reviewing changes manually. To enable or disable the new activity stream, simply select the ⓘ toggle located at the top of your drive screen near the view options.
