New Unsubscribe Button In Gmail Reduces Spam
In November we reported on Google’s continual push for an efficient workspace in the form of quick action buttons. The latest series of buttons includes a much needed unsubscribe option to deal with those obtrusive marketing emails you may have never opted in for.
Most marketing emails will include an unsubscribe link that can be hard to find at the bottom of their message. Clicking those links will typically open another page where you will be required to confirm your actions and potentially go through another barrage of advertisement. With Google’s new unsubscribe button, you can easily access the option by simply selecting the unsubscribe button located next to the messages header (where the sender's name and email address is located). Once selected, you will be asked, within your inbox, if you would like to confirm the unsubscribe.
The new unsubscribe quick action will be rolling out to all inboxes this month.
