Projects in wMobile Phone

Note: This blog topic is applicable to wMobile 3.1.5.058 and above.

How to set up?

Starting with wMobile build 3.1.5.058, you can use Projects functionality within the wMobile Phone application.

To use it, you should add ‘Projects’ as a menu item in wMobile Phone. How can you do this?

When you open Manager Console (v 3.1.5.058 or above) you will see a notification as in the image below:

If you press ‘Yes’, a new menu item will be added to the wMobile Phone main menu:

If you press ‘No’, you can add the Projects menu item later:

  • Go to Manager Console → wMobile → Phone → UI → Menus → HomeMenu, search for the Projects menu item and set visibility to True.

How to use?

By pressing the ‘Projects’ home menu item, you are redirected to the Projects content where you can see, sort, and filter all the projects. Also, from this view you are able to create a new project, view an existing project, or navigate to the project templates list.

If you choose to create a new project, firstly you are redirected to a page where you need to select a contact to be linked to the new project:

After that, you are able to edit all the project information:

After saving the newly created project or when you navigate to an existing one you will see all the project information and all details linked to it:

Being in this view, you are able to edit, delete, or complete the project, or to add contacts, team members, tasks, issues, details, pending activities, history activities, or notes, all linked to the current project.

If you have a project which, you think, can be used as a base for future projects, you can save it as a template and then you can easily create a new project starting from the current project details.

To use a template, you need to navigate to the Project Templates content, select a template and press the ‘Use’ option. You can do this directly from the templates list or from the template detailed view:
