Salesforce and Google Work Even Better Together with New Integrations
Salesforce and Google go together like macaroni and cheese. Salesforce is the world’s leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution for medium and large businesses, and Google offers multiple services to enable working in the cloud - something essential for remote sales teams and other mobile workers, which comprise an ever-increasing segment of the workforce.
Salesforce + Gmail; a Powerful Partnership
The greatest challenge for both customer service and sales departments is to collect all communications from different channels into one client record. With integrations with Gmail, including Salesforce’s recently announced Salesforce Lightning for Gmail, it’s now possible to work in Salesforce and Gmail side by side.
Lightning for Gmail lets reps create new Salesforce records and review Salesforce records relevant to the email sender all from within Gmail. It will be available as a pilot by the end of 2016, and if you’re interested in trying it get in touch with your Salesforce account manager. Sales Cloud and Google Sheets Getting Integrated
Another pilot that will be ready for late 2016 will be integration between Sales Cloud and Google Sheets. With this feature, you’ll be able to link a Google Sheets spreadsheet to Sales Cloud and edit the data side by side, with updates happening both in Google Sheets and Sales Cloud concurrently.
Why G Suite & Salesforce?
The primary reason most businesses turn to G Suite over other solutions is its clear dominance in collaboration. Being able to work together on a presentation, spreadsheet or document in real time is key when you have multiple employees in varying locations - and really even if you have multiple employees in a traditional office environment. No more waiting for approvals by email, client feedback, or anything else - now you can log into a Google Hangout and go over any file you need to together in real time, catching nuances that you may not have had before if you were working in isolation. Additionally, Gmail offers superior security, storage options, and administrative options. You can choose to purchase upgraded G Suite subscriptions for users that need to have their email backed up securely to Google Vault in order to meet with privacy regulations or other compliance measures. Function better in the cloud with Salesforce and G Suite.
