UpCurve Cloud's QuickBooks Integration for SugarCRM was discontinued in March 2018.
In February, UpCurve Cloud Marketing Manager, Amanda Anderson and UpCurve Cloud Software Engineer, Tommy Wiebell hosted a webcast on UpCurve Cloud's QuickBooks Integration for SugarCRM. The webcast covered the syncing of accounts, products, invoices, outstanding balance, days aging, and payment terms between SugarCRM and QuickBooks. Amanda and Tommy wrapped up the session with a Q & A discussion. Below are the video recording, and some of the questions and answers from the event.

Q: Do we need to purchase another user license for the integration?
A: You must have a Sugar Account and a QuickBooks Account for the integration to work. During setup, you need to sign in with only one QB account username, but the sync will work for all other users of QuickBooks if you have more than one.
Q: Will the product work for QuickBooks desktop or only QuickBooks online?
A: The integration is compatible with QuickBooks Pro, Premier, Enterprise desktop versions, as well as QuickBooks Online.
Q: Will the integration work for Sugar Community Edition?
A: Yes. The integration works with Sugar Community Edition and all licensed editions of SugarCRM. It works with currently supported versions of those editions (6.3 and later at the time of this post).
Q: What happens if the sync finds two (or more) accounts with the same name in Sugar?
A: In QuickBooks, duplicates are prevented from being created, but with Sugar it is possible for duplicates to exist. If QuickBooks finds two accounts with the same name it will sync with both. There are tools out there such as ActivePrime that can be used if you feel you have an excessive number of duplicates. Contact us to learn more about deduplication.
Q: Do I need an SSL certificate for the integration to work?
A: Yes. For security purposes, we require users to have an SSL certificate for their SugarCRM system. If your instance has https:// instead of http:// then you do have an SSL certificate. UpCurve Cloud will purchase an SSL certificate as part of our jumpstart package for the QuickBooks integration. We will install, set up SSL, configure, and train you on your QuickBooks integration.
Q: Is SugarCRM or QuickBooks the master in the event of a conflict?
A: QuickBooks acts as the master in the case of a conflict. For example: Let’s say you have your sync setup to run every hour. If within that hour someone makes a change to a customer address in QuickBooks and another person makes a change to the address in the related Account in SugarCRM, then the change made in QuickBooks will override the Sugar change.
Q: What is the cost of the integration?
A: The cost of the integration is $195/month for unlimited users. The price does not depend on the number of QuickBooks or SugarCRM users. Also, the subscription is month-to-month and users can cancel at any time. The integration also offers a 30-day free trial for first-time users.
