Auto Save Functionality

In SugarCRM users can edit any record created in their system such as Contacts, Accounts, Leads, Opportunities, or Quotes. In Sugar's version 6 there is a "Quick Create Tool Bar" for easy navigation for creating these new records. When information needs to be updated or created, users enter the edit view of that record. If a user exits out of their browser window, loses Internet connection, or times-out of their session before saving in edit view, their changes would be lost.


To solve this issue for clients, UpCurve Cloud added an auto save functionality to the edit view for new and existing records in SugarCRM. After the edit view window has been open for one minute, the page is captured and the record is automatically saved with the edit view remaining open.


The auto save functionality is useful for companies that can't always quickly create or update certain records because of the extensive detail required. This is also useful for custom survey and quote forms that may be left open for an extended period of time. This quick customization works automatically under the hood to give users peace of mind knowing that their data can be saved in case of Internet or computer failure.
